How it works

An identifier in, an answer out

No queue, no technician to wait for, no back-and-forth over email. Here is the whole process, including what happens when it goes wrong.

Four phases, most of them yours

Our part takes seconds. Reading the serial off the unit is the bit that takes you a few minutes.

  1. 01

    You identify the unit

    Everything starts with the serial printed on the chassis label of a head unit you own.

    • Match the maker name on your label to one of our radio families — the guides show you exactly where to look.
    • We validate the format in the browser and again on the server before a payment page ever appears.
    • If the format is wrong we tell you what we expected and show an example, rather than taking your money and failing later.
  2. 02

    You pay once for that one code

    A single fixed price, shown before you commit. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. No account to create and no card stored.

    • Radio orders include a one-tick attestation that the unit is yours. We keep that record with the order.
    • The price is derived server-side from our catalogue, so the amount you are charged is always the listed price.
    • Nothing recurring is created. There is no subscription to find and cancel later.
  3. 03

    We calculate the code and deliver immediately

    The moment payment clears, the request goes to the calculator and the code renders on screen. A permanent link is emailed to you at the same time.

    • Codes come back from the calculator in seconds and are shown large enough to read from the driver's seat.
    • The same code is emailed as a permanent link you can come back to.
    • If the calculator is unavailable we say so on screen and either complete the order later or refund it — your choice.
  4. 04

    If something is wrong, we fix it

    Money-back if a code is wrong. Reply to the delivery email and a human reads it, looks at your label photo and either re-runs the calculation or refunds you in full.

    • The usual culprit is a misread character — a zero read as an O, or a five read as an S.
    • Second most common is picking the wrong family for a unit that shares a serial format with another.
    • Either way, re-running costs you nothing and takes minutes.
