  • Identify the family

Match the maker name and serial format on your unit's label to one of the families below.

  • Read the serial

Some units show it on screen with a button combination. Others need the unit slid out. Our guides cover both.

  • Enter the code

Type the four digits with the preset buttons and hold the confirm button. The radio plays again.

Radio code questions

Money-back if a code is wrong. If the code does not open your unit we re-run it and refund you in full if it still fails. Refund policy

Is buying a radio code legal?

Yes, for a unit you own. A factory radio code is an anti-theft measure for the head unit, not for the vehicle, and recovering it is exactly what dealers do — usually for more money and with an appointment. You confirm at checkout that the unit is yours, and we decline anything that looks like it is not. What we will never supply is listed in our acceptable use policy.

What happens if the code does not work?

Reply to your delivery email with the serial and what the unit displays. We re-run the calculation and check you have the right family for your label. If it still will not open, you get a full refund — see the refund policy. The single most common cause is a misread character: a zero read as an O, or a five read as an S.

Do I have to take the radio out of the dashboard?

Sometimes. Ford M series, Toyota ERC and Eclipse ESN units can display their serial on screen with a button combination, so nothing needs to come out. Most others print the serial only on the chassis label. Each serial-finding guide says which applies to your unit and what tools you need.

How quickly will I get the result?

Immediately. The lookup runs the moment payment clears, the result appears on screen, and the same result is emailed as a permanent link you can come back to. There is no human in the loop and nothing to wait for.
