Where to look
In rough order of how little work each option takes on a Fiat Visteon unit.
- 01
Confirm the maker first
Read the label on the top of the chassis. It names the manufacturer — Visteon, DAIICHI or Delphi. Pick the matching product on our site; a Visteon code will not open a DAIICHI unit.
- 02
Six-digit serial on the label
On a Visteon unit the serial is a bare six-digit number, often prefixed SN or S/N on the label. Enter the digits only.
We can turn it into the 4-digit unlock code
Optional — this guide stays free either way. If you would rather not chase the code down yourself, enter the serial and we return the digits straight away.
Entering the code
However you got the four digits, this is how they go in.
- 1
Turn the ignition on and wait for CODE on the display.
- 2
Enter the four digits using preset buttons 1 to 4, or the rotary encoder on Connect units.
- 3
Press and hold preset 5, or press the MENU knob, to confirm.
Tips from the workbench
Stilo Connect units sit behind the climate panel; the two lower trim clips break easily when cold, so warm the cabin first.
If the serial on the label has seven digits, you have a DAIICHI or VP unit rather than a Visteon.
