Where to look
In rough order of how little work each option takes on a Eclipse ESN unit.
- 01
On screen next to ESN
Power the unit up. If the display reads ESN followed by a number, that is the serial and you do not need to remove anything.
- 02
Chassis label
Otherwise slide the unit out and read the six or seven digit serial from the label on the top or side of the case.
We can turn it into the 4-digit unlock code
Optional — this guide stays free either way. If you would rather not chase the code down yourself, enter the serial and we return the digits straight away.
Entering the code
However you got the four digits, this is how they go in.
- 1
With the ESN prompt showing, enter the four digits on the keypad or with the rotary control.
- 2
Press ENTER, or push the rotary control in, to confirm.
- 3
The unit unlocks and returns to the last source.
Tips from the workbench
Eclipse units in Suzuki and Isuzu vehicles use the same ESN scheme as the aftermarket versions.
Keep the unit powered while you enter the code; ESN entry restarts from scratch if it browns out.
